According to President Obama's Summer Jobs+ initiative, “America’s young people face record unemployment, and we need to do everything we can to make sure they’ve got the opportunity to earn the skills and a work ethic that come with a job. It’s important for their future, and for America’s." America has been always the land off innovation and full of creativity.For example, companies such us Apple, Google, Microsoft and eBay were invented here in America by Americans. The point that I'm trying to make is, we need to encourage philanthropy. How do we do that? We need to invest in education. Education is powerful and it offers more opportunities to become successful in the future. Hashim Yonis
I am a product of Somalia, Ethiopia, Kenya, and the United States. My identity is shaped by the world in which I have lived and, as a result, it is contradictory and complex because it is a hybrid of many influences. My identity is not a fixed configuration but a product of growth and change. How this project is fits in to what I do? This project fits in to what I do perfectly because, I work with young people. All people do not have the same talents. But all individuals should have an equal opportunity to develop their talents. I strongly believe that all students can learn. I believe that education is powerful and offers more opportunities to be successful in the future. Most importantly, learning is a means of growth. I am super excited to be part of Spark Action.
