    August 2009—Connect for Kids has some exciting news to share with you, our audience and community!

    This fall, CFK will officially merge with the Youth Policy Action Center, the National Youth Development Information Center, and Child Advocacy360 to create a new one-stop online spot for stories, news and action opportunities from across the child and youth field.

    We recently asked our newsletter subscribers (not yet a subscriber, sign up now!) and visitors for input on renaming our new, merged site.

    We had more than 2,000 votes and now we have a final name, one that we're very excited to announce:

    SparkAction: for children, for youth, for change.

    We'll officially launch our new name and a redesigned site this fall to keep you connected to important news, trends, stories and advocacy tools to improve the lives of children and young people.

    The new site will be easier to use, full of cutting-edge interactive components and multimedia resources -- and will do more to showcase the perspectives and voices of young people themselves! Keep an eye out for a sneak peek in the coming weeks.

    Thank you for being a part of the growing CFK (SparkAction!) community. We can't wait to enter this next phase with you.
