Capitol Words: How Much Is Your Issue Mentioned in Congress?

Sunlight has introduced this way-cool online tool that shows you how much (or how little) Congress is talking about the issues you care about.  Capitol Words lets you search by state, date, and politician, and includes graphs that let you see the frequency of Congressional discussion of your issues in a visual.  It also allows you to follow a term's usage--like, say, "children"--over any number of time periods, and do a side-by-side comparison of that term versus other issues.

A breakthrough tool in government transparency, this tool is great leverage for advocates.

Once you've learned how much, who, and in what context Congress is addressing your issue, let this be a tool to help you in your messaging and advocacy to help amplify your voice and cause in Congress.
