To create electronic waste recycling stations at universities across the U.S. Students and faculty will be able to dispose of their e-waste properly such as, cell phones and batteries. This program will help educate people about e-waste and why it is important to properly recycle. We propose to start the program at a local university such as CCNY, and expand the program across the country to all universities and schools.
Impact will be measured by the participation of this program from students and faculty, as people learn through education, why it is important to dispose of e-waste and the positive effects recyling has on the environment, people will share this information with others. This will enable people to become responsible and actors in the environment they live in, through a positive example of taking imitative people will follow.
