Learning opportunities extend far beyond the classroom. But schools are finding it more and more difficult to bring students to museums, historical sites and cultural organizations. Field Trip Grants help give children these unique, firsthand learning experiences.

The Target Field Trip Grants program provides funds for K-12 field trips in order to give students throughout the country the opportunity to explore more of the world outside the classroom. Over 5,000 grants of up to $700 each will be awarded to educators, teachers, principals, paraprofessionals, and classified staff who are employed by accredited K-12 public, private, or charter schools only.

Funds may be used from January 2013 until the end of the school year to cover trip-related costs such as transportation, ticket fees, food, resource materials, and supplies. Online applications must be submitted by October 1, 2012. Learn more in the link below.
