Pathway to Recovery: Implementing a Back on Track Through College Model
This report explores the “Postsecondary Success Initiative,” which encourages partnerships among community-based organizations and postsecondary institutions to ensure that high school dropouts get back on the path to graduate, enroll in higher education and enter a promising career. Based on the Initiative, JFF created a “Back on Track Through College” model for community partners to use to support these young people through the first year of college. The report provides policy recommendations for implementing the model at the state and national levels such as reauthorizing both the Elementary and Secondary Education and the Workforce Investment Acts.
