My project is about Civics Education. The needs of our nation are changing and these new demands will surely shift what we put emphasis on in the classroom. But one type of learning should never be sacrificed: civics education. The understanding of our government is a fundamental right and cornerstone for good citizenship. My project examines the current state of civics programs in the US and presents an idea for expanding and revitalizing civics learning. I want to re-energize the way we learn about our citizenship so that we are all can understand how the citizen, community and government can work together in commitment to an even better tomorrow.
