Love, GIRLS Magazine is not only fun, but it also teaches work skills through experience. Girls learn about marketing, sales, writing, and photography. Our main goal is to work on girls self-esteem, and we do so by showcasing their talent and accomplishments in the magazine. Not only is the magazine good for the girls, but its good for local businesses, because we provide very inexpensive advertising, and we distribute to a variety of people. This magazine undoubtedly has the potential to be profitable and employ youth. One of our biggest goals is to have a scholarship fund for our youth.
I am a 16 year old honors student, cheerleader, track runner, and I'm the Editor and Founder of Love, Girls Magazine!! All my life it seemed like there was a limit to success. You had to be a certain age, maybe even a certain race, or religion, but I am devoted to breaking the success barrier!! And I am taking as many people with me as possible. This magazine all started with a dream and help from local girls ages 13 to 19, I call the “Signature Girls.” Photos and articles are prepared and put together in a fun fashionable way. Each Quarter I feature a Quad-City girl on the cover. Girls are featured because of grades, talent, sports, inspirational stories, and MUCH more! This magazine is fully supported by volunteers, local advertising and donations. Any girl age 13 to 19 can join. I wanted to create something where girls can build bonds and friendships while learning and using their imagination to build a foundation for success. Love, Girls is my life. I live for creativity, and helping others. I am super excited to share my idea with you! The inspiration for this project came from my dream of starting my own organization for and about the self-esteem of girls. Every day dreams are coming true. A magazine for girls by girls? Imagine that!
