Part of our SparkNotes blog series on social media.

We've spiced up our SparkNotes this round with a video tutorial.  In this entry we explore something we've grown to know and love for our social media: TweetDeck.

An incredible useful (and free!) software for Twitter, TweetDeck has revolutionized our social media strategy and helped me and our whole team gain a grasp on using Twitter. This knew knowledge has helped us reach milestones, learn from peers, and expand our reach in some really awesome ways.

TweetDeck can, however, be pretty intimidating at first glance, and confusing to navigate if you're not sure how or why you're using it.

With the help of the folks at Voices for America's Children, I filmed a video tutorial to help others take full advantage of all the things TweetDeck has to offer. It's aimed at helping nonprofits boost their social media reach and strategy in a way that is both time- and energy-efficient.

Below, I take you through the basics of TweetDeck as well as a couple of my favorite features that have allowed us to seamlessly weave tweeting, sharing, and virtual high-fiving to other users into our every day flow on the job. Check it out.

Ready to get started on TweetDeck but want some more guidance? Have some more tips I missed or a suggestion for another video tutorial?  Please leave a comment below.
