I think students should be able to work at the age of Fifteen and a half. Since people are allowed to get their drivers permits in the State Of California, they should be able to get a job. It will keep us busy! The authority complains that we as youth are sometimes out of control. Mainly people are out of control because we do not have anythng to do. We get bored so we find ways to have fun. If student were to be able to get a job at the age of fifteen & a half, we would be growing up strong, independent, and not bored! we don't need adults to walk around and hold our hands telling us that we need to apply for this and go sign up for that, we need responsibilities that we can manage for ourselves. And it's hard being a teenager because we are able to think about what we want in life, but not old enough to actually do something about it.
Something the youth could do is work at a local store, or get janitorial jobs, something easy but active.
I am 14 years old, going to be 15 in October. The reason I am doing this is because this is what I wish life would be like, I'm not old enough to do what I want! I want to be able to work and have my own job so my parents don't have to keep giving me money out of their pockets that THEY worked for... When I can simply make my own money. Even if it is minimum wage, I wouldn't mind because it's some thing to keep me busy on my free time and give me money to do the things I want. I am an only child, and only one of my parents are employed. So something like this would help.
