Take Action: Support Federal Funding for Afterschool & Summer Programs

The Senate and House continue to work on fiscal year 2012 federal spending bills as well as Elementary and Secondary Education Act reauthorization. Send an email to your Members of Congress calling for their support of afterschool programs.  Among the areas targeted for funding reductions are education programs, and therefore afterschool and summer learning programs. Now is the time to make the case for support and funding of school and community based before-school, afterschool and summer learning programs that inspire learning, keep young people safe and help working families.
