With your help, and the help of the UFC and TapouT, I will develop a program for at-risk youth called TapouTreach. The primary mission of TapouTreach is to foster hope in at-risk youth. I will make it my primary mission to encourage and support them, and show them how to succeed. I would do so by recruiting UFC fighters to serve as outstanding role models to at-risk youth. I would love to have UFC fighters come in to schools to talk to the TapouTreach kids, to inspire and motivate them, and show them how to channel their aggression and energy into a constructive activity. Too many kids these days are turning to violence to solve their problems, and I think TapouTreach can put a stop to this. TapouT has recently developed training centers throughout the United States. My vision is to run TapouTreach through the TapouT training centers, as well as local schools. It would be like an afterschool club of sorts. Kids could come to the gym after school for MMA practice, but also for homework help, tutoring, mentoring, and other related activities through TapouTreach. By speaking out against violence and bullying, and encouraging kids to partake in MMA activities, TapouTreach will change the lives of countless youth throughout the USA. It can be done. All I need is your help and support.
I am a product of a struggling public school system, and have worked very hard to get to where I am today. When I first began college, I had to take remedial courses at my local community college. But with plenty of hard work and determination, I was able to graduate Cum Laude from the University of CT in 2010. I am currently working on my Masters degree in Education, and will be graduating in 3 weeks with a 3.98 gpa! It is my goal to find a job as a science teacher for this fall, and one day I dream of being a principal. I recently decided to follow my dreams and began my own tutoring business. In my work, I developed close relationships with students in inner cities and impoverished communities. These kids are truly remarkable, but are often overlooked by the majority of our society. All these kids need is someone to believe in them. I do, but I need your help.
