Wanted: Tutors!
Sharing is caring
My idea is to make a website for students finding tutors in a specific subject or area. Many students need help and resources beyond the classroom. The website would allow tutors of all ages be on a list depending on the subject, and then students can refer to the website to hire a tutor for a certain subject. This website would also provide learning tools and reference guides to help students on their homework or projects, etc. The website would also include information on how to go to college, scholarships, and any more tips needed to succeed in the process of applying for college. This website would include a background story for all tutors wanting to work. It would be open for all students from elementary school up to college students. Students would also be able to rate each tutor they've worked with. The tutors are not limited to just teaching academics, they can be musicians, artists, Spanish, etc. The tutors would also be able to post online how much they charge, not limiting them to a certain salary.
My name is Janet Salcedo and I am a high school Senior. Looking back in my four years in high school I always struggled in math. Knowing that my teacher was my only resource was not on my luck. Teachers have about 30 students in one class and don't have enough time to spend on students individually. One on one for me is the best learning, if I had that resource I believe I would have done much more better on math. This website would create jobs to typical high school and college students by tutoring students. It would improve students grades and help them achieve in college.
