Webinar: Eradicating Hunger Through State Efforts
We are currently living through an unprecedented era of high unemployment and growing poverty. Now more than ever it is important to ensure that everyone’s basic needs are being met, including those related to food. State plans to end hunger should play an important role in achieving that goal. Although there are realistic concerns about the challenges facing state budgets, progress is still achievable. This can largely occur through maximizing the use of available federal resources. This session will highlight the top four approaches that should be a part of state plans to end hunger. Also included is information about how plans could be affected by current deficit reduction efforts in Congress.
