Young Comic Book Creators
Sharing is caring
My idea is to give more opportunities to young people who want to be part of the comic book industry. As a 13 year old comic book creator, I know how passionate comic book artists and writers are about their craft. Since I am a self published creator of 8 comic books, I also know how much work is required to make a comic book all by your self. Then after a comic book is created, there is even more work to try and get your book printed and distributed to comic book stores, and into the hands of readers. I know there are so many other young people like me out there who have similar goals. I also know how difficult it is to convince the big comic book industry executives to take you seriously enough to give you a publishing deal. So, I figured I would expand my own little comic book company, Mii Toons Comics, by creating opportunities for young people in the comic book industry. I want to give opportunities to artists, writers, printers, marketing, finance, and technology professionals to work for Mii Toons Comics. I am confident that the success I have had can be expanded and shared with other young people so that they also can reach their goals. You can see all of my books on my website, www.miitoons.com, which is where I hope to bring together more comic book artists and professionals.
I have always loved to draw. When I was about 6 years old, my mom sent some of my drawings of Sonic the Hedgehog to Archie Comics because I noticed that in the back of those comics were printed illustrations by other kids. Then one day when we were in the book store, I showed my parents that the new issue of the Sonic comic book had a copy of the picture I had sent in! I was stunned and so excited! That is where my journey into the comic book industry began. After that, my dad created a website for me, www.miitoons.com, and uploaded my drawings. He also bought me a drawing tablet which plugs right into my computer. After finishing my first ever comic book entirely on my own called "Mii Toons Action #105" in October of 2010, I was on my way to realizing my dreams. Since that first book, I have completed 7 more self published comic books! My comic books can be purchased from my website, www.miitoons.com, of course. But you can also buy printed and digital versions of my books from www.amazon.com, www.barnesandnoble.com, and more.
