Defence for Children International

December 1, 2001 is run by an independent non-governmental organization that strives for concerted international action to promote and protect the rights of children worldwide. The site provides information about numerous international agreements, conventions and rules concerning the treatment of children, as well as links to related organizations around the world. Some portions of the site are poorly designed, making it difficult to navigate, and the calendar pages are woefully outdated. Links offered by the group’s offshoot, the International Network on Juvenile Justice, are better maintained.
