Reducing Summer Melt: Helping 12th Graders Successfully Transition to College

Navigating the ins and outs of higher education can be daunting, with many students falling off track. This is especially true for first-generation students whose families have little to no experience in what's necessary to prepare for college. Eager students ready to move on to high education can quickly feel overwhelmed with the process of applying to college, from applications to financial aid and academic supports. 

There have been recent studies that look at fighting against summer melt using methods like texting and peer mentors which has helped improve college enrollment.
