Summer Job Outlook Daunting for Teenagers

Some communities are cutting summer programs for teens, at a time when summer jobs are harder to come by. The employment rate among teenagers and young adults dropped dramatically between 2000 and 2003, and was at its lowest level since the end of World War II, according to a study released in April by Northeastern University's Center for Market Studies.
