What the Public Really Wants on Education

A new roundup of polling data on education issues compiled by the Washington think tank, the Center for American Progress, examines recent polling data from several sources to identify a consensus agenda for America’s schools. High on the public’s wish list: more before- and afterschool programs. The study cites two polls to back the conclusion. First is the Afterschool Alliance’s 2003 poll of voters, and a 2006 poll conducted for the Educational Testing Service.
