Youth Alliance 2005 Annual Report

January 1, 2005

The New Mexico Youth Alliance Project had a very busy and successful year. Many of the activities and opportunities that Youth Alliance members were able to participate in required these young people to learn and expand their knowledge on legislative processes, civic engagement, public service and leadership. The most impressive aspect of this success is the openness and concern that older adults and respective state officials have for this aspiring group of young people. Their recognition of what is important to young people is evident and in full practice throughout many governmental levels. The concept of having young individuals providing youth voice to processes and policy has opened up many new doors for young people in a variety of ways.
