Youth Suicide Prevention Program

May 1, 2000 provides general information on suicide and youth as well as information focused on Washington state. For potentially suicidal young people or those who know them, the site provides national (toll-free) and Washington teen and suicide helpline numbers, a list of warning signs, materials on how to help, myths about suicide and success stories written by youth. Contact information is given for youth services, public health organizations and Survivors of Suicide groups around Washington. There are statistics for all the states, guidelines on how to approach the subject of suicide and newspaper articles on the subject.
